"'Pójdźcie za Mną, a uczynię was rybakami ludzi' Św. Mateusza, 4-19
'Rybacy ludzi' to seria skupiająca się na przedstawieniu męskości. Wyobrażenie chrześcijańskich apostołów, czyli ludzi cnoty, przeciwstawione wyobrażeniu 'beara', hipermęskiego, owłosionego geja.
Projekt składa się z 12 fotografii 'bearow' wcielających się w role apostołów. Każdy z nich ma przy sobie przedmiot bądź symbol postaci którą przedstawia i który pozwalał identyfikować danego apostoła w różnych artystycznych wyobrażeniach.
Serię podzieliłem na dwie cześci po sześć zdjęć, z przerwą pośrodku. Sześciu apostołów spogląda w lewo, sześciu w prawo. Pusta przestrzeń sugeruje obecność Jezusa. Ale nie ma go tam, odszedł, zostawiając apostołów samym sobie.
Zdaję sobie sprawę, że niektórzy mogą odebrać tę pracę jako bluźnierstwo albo żart, choć mam nadzieję, że spojrzą na nią jak na każde inne zdjęcie: coś kuszącego, denerwującego, cieszącego oko, bo prowokacja mnie nie interesuje."

"‘Follow me and I will make you Fishers of Men’
St. Matthew, 4-19
‘Fishers of men’ is an essay which explores the representation of masculinity.
It starts with the figure of the Christian apostles, as an example of the ‘homo virtus’, or man of virtues, confronted to the figure of the ‘bear’, a gay man full of hair as the stereotype of the ‘hipermale’.
The Project is composed of 12 portraits of ‘bearmodels’ who play the role of a particular apostle. All of them wear or carry objects or symbols that used to help the believer in order to recognize each of them, according to the traditional representation and iconography.
The project is to be exhibited in two collections of six images, with a gap in the centre. Six apostles look to the right, and the other six to the left. The empty space in the centre suggests the presence of Jesus. But he is not there: the master is not there anymore. They are left alone.
Some people might see this work as a sacrilege, others a joke, hopefully they would use my images as they would use any other: to seduce or abuse or control or to be happy, as I am not interested in provoking."
