I tyle jeśli chodzi o moją twarz. Niektóre z moich tatuaży coś znaczą, inne mają tylko dobrze wyglądać. Na przykład tatuaż "I hate cops" ('nienawidzę glin" - przyp. rdzy) oznacza, że nienawidzę gliniarzy.

Derrick Walker: The funny thing about my face... We were just doing some little jolly rogers on my eyebrows, but we couldn't make it so small so it looks good, so we did dots, and then after we covered the eyebrows I thought I looked like a drag queen so I just kept adding on. And that's the story behind my face. Some of them have some meanings, some are just designed, you know, like the I hate cops tattoo, definitely means I hate cops.

PL:
Tatuaż to według mnie forma wyrażenia siebie.

Shanika Perkins: I have couple of tattoos right now. One is on my left arm, and it says 'heat' with flames, made because in prison I did a lot of fighting and the officers would say 'uh, you brought the heat'. Tattoo is like a form of expression to me, I wanna get just like women, and snakes and trees, I want to get my whole body covered in tattoos. I think tattoos are a beautiful things they hurt sometimes, but they're sexy to me.

PL:
Nelson Yee: Pierwszy wyrok zacząłem odsiadywać jakieś dwadzieścia lat temu, i przez pierwsze dwa lata zrobiłem sobie mnóstwo tatuaży, nazywaliśmy to tatuażową gorączką.

ENG:
Nelson Yee: I got sent to prison for the first time like 20 years ago, and for the first two years in prison I got like a lot of tattoos, we called it ink fever, I wanted to be just like every other convict in a prison, and after all these 20 years it's probably one thing I don't want to be, with all these tattoos, cause everyone judges me like the book by its cover.

PL:
Uwielbiam tatuaże tutaj zrobione i chcę więcej. Na mojej prawej ręce mam prace pięciu róznych artystów pracujących w różnym czasie, a wszystko to genialnie współgra.

ENG:
Chris Goshen: The tattoo artists in prison, are unbelievable, fenomenal artists, I've gotten tattoos on the street, not many of them but some, and actually don't like'em, they're excellent work but the fact of a singe needle tattoo just look so much better to me. I cherish my tattoos that I've gotten in prison and I want more of them. My right arm has the art on it that I love, it just flows together perfectly, and its five different artist on five different times working on it.
